Protecting your account is crucial to safeguarding your data and payouts from potential security threats. Two-factor authentication (2FA) is a standard and best practice in digital security, and we’re making it easy for you to enable this important feature.
Why Use 2FA?
In today’s online environment, extra security is never a bad thing. If a bad actor gains access to your login credentials, they could redirect payouts or compromise sensitive information. 2FA adds an extra layer of security by requiring a one-time code in addition to your email and password.
Who Needs 2FA?
To ensure the highest level of security for accounts with elevated privileges, 2FA is required for the following TicketLeap roles:
- Owner
- Admin
- Finance
If certain staff members don’t require access to sensitive financial information (e.g., payouts, bank account details), you can assign them one or more of the following roles to skip 2FA:
- Events Manager
- Box Office Manager
- Ticket Check-In
- Ticket Sales
Learn more about user roles and their permissions at Adding Users to your Account.
Tip: If you frequently use TicketLeap for day-to-day tasks but don’t typically need access to payment settings or sales reports, you can create one of the above user accounts for yourself. This allows you to manage your tasks without needing 2FA to log in.
2FA Methods
